Legacy

Hiren’s great-grandfather, Manilal Jamnadas Gandhi, and grandfather, Babubhai Manilal Gandhi, established the foundation of the family business, focusing on wholesale trading of agricultural and food products in Nadiad, Gujarat, India. Their visionary leadership allowed the business to expand across all major states in India and overseas.
Babubhai Manilal Gandhi was a pioneering force in the trade sector, founding Madhupura Market, one of India's largest and most esteemed commercial hubs for spices, grains, textiles, and other agricultural and food products. His leadership was instrumental in shaping the market’s growth, and he served for several years as the Chairman of the Madhupura Association of Merchants. His contributions to trade and commerce earned him the prestigious All India Merchant and Industry Council Award for his role in developing Madhupura Market.
Beyond his business acumen, Babubhai was a respected figure in industry organizations. He served as Secretary of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and was a core committee member of the All India Consumer Association, Delhi, India. His influence and contributions were widely recognized, and in 2008, Navalkishor Sharma, the then-Governor of Gujarat, India, inaugurated the launch of Babubhai’s biography at GCCI, commemorating his lifelong impact on the trade industry.
Through generations of dedication, the Gandhi family has built a strong foundation of integrity, innovation, and excellence—values that continue to drive Volamex’s success today.
